In the morning I accidently cross one of Catanias local Saturday-morning-markets where I buy fruits and bread. I felt really local lol.

I arrive in Taormina before lunch, where I meet the mess left behind by the other peasants who supposedly already checked out. Our host allowed us to leave our baggage BUNDLED at one spot in the apartment so that the cleaning lady could clean around our stop. To my surprise all bags were distributed along the whole flat + all of our food was still chilling in the fridge. This obviously meant that I had to put together my own stuff PLUS the others bags + food in the fridge + trash on the table, all while being frckng HANGOVEEEER (sorry for exposing you, no hard feelings! :* ).

During Siesta I’m taking a short swim at our beach (big waves as there was some sort of storm). I wonder what my HoBos are doing right now, probably chilling with Ariel or sum.

Right after being shattered by the waves I take the local bus driving to Taormina city. I dont have any particular aim anymore - I’ve already seen most of the city two days ago and I guess I get bored extremely quickly. I end up under a local store, hiding from the heavy rains for around 20 minutes (and suddenly I’m cold again). Next: drinking coffee in a local shop. Then I head back to our apartment with the local bus where I meet again the other three mermaids, who finally finished their Basic PADI open water course!!! Yayyy!

We ended up having to hurry AGAIN to the train as Samira and Timo took long naps and as Thilo and Yael thought that the rain was leaving at 8 rather than 6 pm. Admire these pics of the nap queens though;

After our 4h train ride leading to Cefalu, we share a taxi with a couple coming from Berlin (my german-english-accent detector never disappoints me) which brings us right at the front door of our so called “Villa”. Our new host is a real dumbass who is not able to communicate correctly with us and who also seemed to have fallen asleep while we were waiting in front of the gates for him to open.

While Samira experiences another physical meltdown, we decided to ring the local office of the Villa department which resulted in a weird lady introducing us to our new “Villa” aka tiny apartment. It seems funny to me that all the Italian AirBnB hosts insist on greeting you personally and end up showing you obvious things like “this is the fridge” like oh really….

Samira was immediately knock out, followed by the others an hour later.
